I created these ThreadworX variegated floss samples to help show the beauty of the color combinations when stitched.
Above is the stitched sample of ThreadworX 1154 – Bradley’s Balloons. I stitched all of these samples with two strands of the six strand floss on 14 count Aida. It took just under four yards of two strands to stitch each sample.
The intact skeins are gorgeous as well, but of course they look so different on the skein versus on the fabric. Also, as ThreadworX flosses are hand-dyed, differences between dye lots is to be expected.
I start this post with 1154 simply because it is my best-selling ThreadworX color, and I’m thrilled that my customers love this rainbow! I put my first 24 ThreadworX flosses in my shop in May of 2017 and since then I have expanded to 72 colors (and it will keep expanding over time). I’ll cover all of the colors in my shop in future posts, but for now let’s see the other first 23 stitched examples from this first group. [Update 2023 – I now carry ALL colors of ThreadworX floss]
Here is a photo of all 24 skeins of the flosses in this first collection:

I have a couple footnotes on this post (these are same footnotes as on my other posts that discuss colors). First, in order to get the full effect of the differences and similarities of the flosses, you really need to see them for yourself in different types of lighting. I’ve tried my best to capture the subtleties of the color differences, but cameras don’t always do the same job as the human eye. Also, ThreadworX floss is dyed by hand in small batches, therefore some differences between strands and skeins is to be expected.
I hope these ThreadworX variegated floss samples help pique your interest in these beautiful color combinations!
