Star Wars Cross Stitch Project – But Not to Me

This Star Wars cross stitch pattern is now available in my Etsy shop:star wars cross stitch pattern but not to me

This project is inspired by the throne room scene in The Last Jedi. The graduated red border reflects the rich red walls of the throne room, and the background is based on the light panel in the elevator Rey and Kylo rode on their way to see Snoke. The foreground is sprinkled with the burning remnants of the red wall fabric (stitched with DMC Etoile C725 to give it a little sparkle).

There’s some controversy about this quote. Some people take it to mean that Kylo simply is saying that Rey is important to him. Others think he is trying to manipulate her – by saying she’s nothing and he’s the only one who appreciates her. There’s a good discussion on Reddit about this very quotation. And, as we now know from Rise of Skywalker, she actually didn’t come from nothing!

Regardless of the debate, I really enjoy this throne room scene. Those deep red walls burning and the sparks falling as Rey and Kylo Ren fight Snoke’s Praetorian guards is just gorgeous. It always triggers my sense of awe.

I hope this Star Wars cross stitch pattern helps remind you of an amazing movie visual and possibly a good bit of on-screen chemistry!
